Organic Focus Vineyard Final Results Presentation: Numbers, Reflections..and Wine! 28 November

Date: Friday, 28th November 2014

Time: 1pm

Venue: Lake Dunstan Yacht Club, McNulty Inlet, Cromwell

Please join us for the final event of the Organic Focus Vineyard Project.

For three years, Gibbston Valley's School House vineyard has been split into organic and conventional blocks, and monitored at every turn.

At this final event, we'll be presenting:

•    The numbers: how things stacked up at all three focus vineyards nationwide. Yields, operating costs, changes in soils, and more

•    Winemaker reflections from Gibbston Valley: How did the organic and conventional grapes fare at the winery? Listen to the winemaker and then get the very first chance to taste them yourself! We also plan to have organic/conventional paired wines from the other focus vineyard regions available for tasting.

•    The business of organics: Reflections from local winery business manager(s) on how organics fits into their business strategy

•    Final reflections on the organic conversion process, from focus vineyard manager Grant Rolston

The Organic Focus Vineyard Project is a project of Organic Winegrowers New Zealand, funded by the Sustainable Farming Fund and New Zealand Winegrowers.
