Central Otago Burgundy Exchange Training week - 21 to 24 March

At the end of March this year’s Burgundy Exchange students will be arriving for Harvest 2016. As part of the Central Otago Burgundy Exchange the students first week is spent immersed in a training programme kindly hosted by the Otago Polytechnic. This year there are 3 additional places available on the programme for COWA members or those in the Wine Tourism industry. If you are interested in attending or sending one of your staff along, in the first instance please contact Natalie, e: info@cowa.org.nz

The programme includes the history of winemaking in the region, marketing, climate and geography and their impact, irrigation and frost fighting, biodynamics, and visits to vineyards and wineries to learn from them about their philosophy and their wines. The course would ideally be suited to Cellar Door staff or those new to the region.

Dates: Monday 21 March to Thursday 24 March

Time: 9am – 5pm approx each day (finishing times may vary)

Cost: $200 + GST per person (includes lunch each day)
